Edit

This option is used to edit an existing Reports Wand definition using the Edit Report Wand Wizard.

Click on the Edit button on the toolbar and select the report definition from the list provided.

Note if you have imported report definitions into the Reports Wand Administrator template then select the first line of the definition you would like to edit and click Edit.

After selecting a report definition, click Next to load the report definition details.

The screenshot below depicts the standard version of the Edit Report Definition dialog. When Reports Wand Insights is enabled an additional stage, Add Columns, is available for use. More information regarding the Add Columns stage can be found on Add Columns page under the Insights section of this user guide.

To create a copy of an existing report change both the Short Name and the Report Name. This will result in a new report with all of the same details as the original.

For more information regarding the report definition wizard please see the Create section of the Reports Wand Administration.

Once you have completed updating the report definition in the wizard, click Finish, and the existing definition will be replaced with new updated information.

When editing a definition in the Report Wand Administrator Template please note that the changes will have only been applied to the report definition template in Excel. In order to update the definition in Oracle, you will need Process the report definition.
