Period Status
Returns the period status for the selected period and Oracle application module.
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Period Name | The period name as configured in Oracle. This parameter must be entered in exactly the same format as the period names in Oracle. For example if your period names are configured as follows “Jan-07” in Oracle and you enter “Jan-2007” or “January-07” or “jan-07” for this parameter, GL Wand will not return any data, and will instead return an Error (Period) message. |
Ledger | Optionally enter a Ledger Id to bind the formula to a specific Ledger. If this parameter is omitted, the Ledger currently selected in the Ledger dropdown list will be used. |
Application Id | Optionally enter an Application Id to bind the formula to a specific Oracle application module. If this parameter is omitted, the application module will default to the General Ledger. The application list of values includes all installed application modules. |
Example: =GLW_Period_Status(“Jan-02”) or =GLW_Period_Status(“Jan-02″,1,”202”)
The period status function only applies to application modules that have a period status. If an application module doesn’t have a period status the function will return Not Available. Other valid return types are Open, Closed, Permanently Closed, Never Opened, Future Entry and Closed Pending.
