Launch

After performing the client installation, use the Wands icon placed on the desktop to launch the Wands product. First time users will be requested to complete a user profile and select the Data Access Set (or Sets).

User Profile

The user profile consists of the name, last name and email address of the user. This information should automatically be populated from the platform and Wand’s client installation. Please read and agree to the terms of the software license agreement to continue. It is no longer necessary to sign up to community, this is done as part of the platform configuration.

User Profile information can be access from the Wands ribbon (Tools > User Options) at any time after the first launch.

Data Access Set(s)

Users will be presented with a list of available Data Access Set(s) they have access to in Oracle ERP Cloud. Any Data Access Sets (or ledgers assigned to those data access sets) not assigned to the user in Oracle ERP Cloud will not be available for selection. The Data Access Set(s) selected will cache information related to the relevant ledgers, including segment security.

Data Access Sets can be changed at any time within the Wands session by using the Change Data Access Set dialog accessible from the GL Wand ribbon.
