Configuration Sheet
Available as of version 1.2.6. When you click the “Configuration Sheet” button, GL Wand creates a new workbook that contains a variety of information about the configuration of your PeopleSoft Environment. The Configuration Sheet includes:
- A list of the ChartFields with a status indicating if they are active.
- A list of Business Units and Ledgers including the associated Base Currency and Calendar details.
- A matrix of Business Unit and ChartField showing the intersecting SetID.
The information on the Configuration Sheet can be useful when constructing GL Wand functions. The ChartField tab will help you identify which CHartFields are active and where these have been re-named. The BU-Ledger and BU-SetID tabs assist you in determining which Business Units can be used together in a single GetBalance function. This is important because the GetBalance function requires that Business Units share the following criteria in order to return a balance:
- A ledger with the same Name, Currency and Calendar
- ChartFields that share a common SetID. As of V1.2.6, only the ChartFields that contain a query parameter (i.e. not a wildcard such as %) will be validated.
