GL Wand User Options
Configure your user preferences.
Option |
Description
|
---|---|
Show inactive | Include inactive ChartField values when expanding or exploding and in lists. |
Show secured | Include secured ChartField values when expanding or exploding and in lists. |
Show ChartField criteria errors | If you enter ChartField criteria which do not exist in the list of segment values, the GL Wand function will return an error message. If you would prefer that the function returns an empty string (or zero balance when applicable) then disable this option.
By disabling this option you acknowledge that you are aware of the fact that GL Wand will return a zero, or partial, balance in the Get Balance function when the ChartField criteria that you enter does not match any segment values. |
Calculation drills to new workbook | When enabled, drilling down from a function (calculation) will populate the results into a new workbook. |
Drilldown drills to new workbook | When enabled, drilling down from a previous drilldown report will populate the results into a new workbook. |
Double click enabled | When disabled, a double click in Excel will no longer open lists of values and execute drilldowns.
Changes to this option are only effective at the next login. With this setting enabled, double clicking in a cell that does not contain an Wands drilldown function or list of values will always result in the cell being put into edit mode. Excel’s option to select the cells that are referenced by the active cell will be disabled. |
Suppress zeros on drilldown | Exclude items in the balance drilldown report if the balances are all zero. |
Show last calculated value | Show the last calculated value, if available, when the calculation mode is set to off. See Calculating for more detail on this option.
Changes to this option only become effective the next time you modify the calculation option, log on or change companies. |
Auto refresh when workbook opened | By default a workbook will not calculate Wands formulas when it is opened. This option can be used to control this behavior.
Please note that the first time you open a workbook with this new version it may still calculate irrespective of this setting. If this occurs simply calculate and save the workbook to convert it to the new process. |
Disable Excel multi-threaded calculation | You may be asked to change this option by an Wands support team member due to a bug in Microsoft Excel. |
