Account Combinations
The Account Combinations tool allows you to search for and select an account combination from a list of all existing combinations for the template Ledger. The selected combination is then populated in the Segment columns for the row in which the cursor is currently positioned.
To invoke the Account Combinations tool, there must be a valid Journal Wand template open and active.
Prior to opening the tool, ensure that the row in which the account combination should be populated, is selected on the template. Any cell or range of cells in a single row in the template range may be selected. The tool does not support multiple row selection and selection of an invalid range will result in an error being displayed:
In the below example, AB10 is the active cell, therefore the selected combination will be populated in the account segment cells AD10:AH10:
Specify initial filter criteria in the first form:
Click the Next button to display a second form listing account combinations matching the search criteria entered:
To further filter the combinations, type characters into the “Filter the list” bar. Account combinations that do not contain the search string in one or more of their segments, are filtered out.
To re-enter the search criteria, click the Previous button. Alternatively, select a combination from the list and click the Finish button.
The selected combination is populated in the template:
The Account Combination wizard only displays combinations that are enabled in Oracle.
