Edit RDM Template
Edit Distribution Lines
After the RDM template is generated you can change or set new criteria for an existing distribution line. Changes can be made directly in the template or by selecting a distribution line and clicking on the template edit icon . Alternatively double-click an existing distribution line to edit the line using the Template Wizard. The RDM Template contains dropdown selections and LOVs that can be used to modify or add certain criteria directly in Excel. If a parameter uses a single-cell named range that includes an Wands LOV, the LOV will be available in the RDM Template.
Add New Distribution Lines
Additional distributions can be added to an existing RDM template by clicking on the template create icon .The additional report will be added to the next available row in the current active RDM template. Alternatively, you can double-click on a blank Excel cell under the Source Report heading within an RDM template to initiate the RDM Template Wizard. Excel formulas and cell references can be added to the RDM Template for customization of parameter values, email subject lines or messages, or Merge File Names.
Additional RDM Template worksheets can be added to the RDM Template workbook to organize your reporting distribution.
Legacy RDM Templates
Templates created with versions of RDM prior to release 5.11 cannot be edited using the RDM Template Wizard. To take advantage of new features, recreate your legacy template using the RDM Template Wizard. Legacy templates can still be executed without any modifications.
If cell references are used as parameter values within a RDM Template, they will be valued out if you edit a RDM Template using the RDM Template Wizard. This only applies to the row you have selected to edit using the RDM Template Wizard.
The RDM template is a normal Excel workbook, however, the structure must not be changed to ensure the integrity of the template. You can set and change criteria and add additional lines. Any other changes will corrupt the template.
