Filters
Filters allow administrators to assign a List of Values or a tool tip to a filterable field in the reports wand definition. This enhances the users experience when using filters to limit the results produced by the Reports Wand report. Users can filter the results on any of the available fields that are returned by the report.

Description | Description of the filter and what it achieves. | Yes | The description will display as a light grey hint in the field where the value is to be entered by the user. |
LOV | List of Values. Is a list of values to be used. Only field types of character can support a List of Values. | Yes – if field type is character | Allows user to select the filter field from a list of values. |
Value Set | Assign a list of values to the filter. Only field types of character can support a List of Values. Additionally only tabled validated and independent value sets in Oracle are supported. | Yes – if field type is character | Presents the user with a list of values for user friendliness. |
Default | Default value for the filter | Yes | When the user selects to use a filter it will pre-populate the field with the value defined. |
