Export Workbook .xml From Discover Plus
In order for the Discover Converter to convert the Discoverer Workbook into a report definition, we first need to export the Discoverer Workbook into a format that we can understand.
- Log into Discoverer Plus
- Open the Discoverer Workbook you would like to convert
- Go to File > Export
- Use the Export Wizard as demonstrated below
Select the Entire Workbook or the current worksheet to export.
Select the Oracle Reports (*.xml) as the export format to be used.
Select a Destination folder to save your exported .xml file.
Provide a name for the workbook. It defaults to the current workbook name. This name will be used when the Discoverer Converter converts the .xml file into a Report Definition so it’s important to leave it as it is or make it something identifiable and unique.
Select Supervised, so that any export issues can be dealt with immediately. Select Unsupervised should you want to suppress any alert messages.
An Export Log will be produced detailing the successfully exported .xml files.
