Assign a Stored Procedure
Assign a PL/SQL stored procedure to a Reports Wand Report Definition.
- Familiarize yourself with the steps to create a new Report Definition or edit an existing Report Definition – only additional functionality is outlined in this section of the user guide
- Select a stored procedure from the drop down list on the Program Information stage
If the Stored Procedure drop down list is disabled please ensure you have created the Reports Wand Database Package correctly. If you don’t see you’re stored procedure in the drop down list then please ensure your stored procedure meets all criteria for it to be valid and accessible from Reports Wand Administrator
- Bind Variables will automatically created for any parameters defined for the stored procedure
Stored Procedure Bind Variables will always proceed SQL Bind Variables and will differ slightly in the following way. All other Bind Variable properties are consistent between the two.Field Stored Procedure SQL Type The data type of the bind variable is determined by what has been defined in the stored procedure and cannot be modified by the user Defined by the user in the Bind Variable stage Stored Procedure Flagged as a Stored Procedure Bind Variable and cannot be updated by the user Not flagged as a Stored Procedure Bind Variable and cannot be updated by the user - Process the Report Definition so that it will be accessible from Oracle
